Before making my front cover !
Originally when making my front cover my colour scheme was going to be orange and black. I decided to experiment with fonts to see which one would be best.

Pre audience research !
I am planning to do some audience research which will result in me getting feedback for my project. This will also help for my evaluation.

Photography !
I am in the main stages of making my music magazine here are pictures which I have decided not to use.
Even though this photo is positive because it is at a good angle as it is a close up but on usual music magazine covers the model is normally looking directly into the camera.
I really liked this photo as it looked like an action shot but when blown up the photo goes blurry.
I also had positive thoughts about using this in my music magazine but the hair was covering her eyes which would not be good for the audience as they would not be drawn in.

Competition !
When making my magazine I must think of the competiton for my magazine.
Personally I think the smash hits magazine will be a competition as I am doing a pop sub genre.

Research - DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD !
Before making my music magazine I am going to research double page spreads of exsisting magazines to give me some inspiration.
This is the first double page spread I am going to look at for my research. On this double page spread the image is the main focus with hardly little text. For my project I could not choose this option as it has to be two pages of text. For this double page spread they have decided to do an article about the band whether Will - i - am will go solo. For the image they have blurred three members and kept Will - i - am bright and in normal colour. This is to represent that he is the main focus. The title of the article is written in a robotic style font which links to the bands personality as there new album is very robotic. The main colours used on this double page spread are brown's & beige's. This could imply mystery.

The main colours are red, beige and grey which would represent the colours of rock. Again there is hardly any text on this double page spread which would not link to my project.
